CHILD DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT CLERK (OA)

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions. SPECIALIZED
Experience:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-04, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience include experience with child care programs and procedures including knowledge of the organizational functions and services to answer inquiries or refer to the responsible staff member; exercising financial responsibilities including computing, collecting and recording fee collections; providing customer service support; performing general office administrative and clerical procedures like distributing mail, answering telephones, maintaining files/office forms and ordering supplies; and using various office automation software functions to support office operations and maintain accurate records. OR EDUCATION:
Four years of education above the high school level, obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. NOTE:

A combination of education and experience as described above may be used to qualify for this position. NOTE:

Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Ability to communicate effectively orally, using tact and courtesy and monitor authorized visitors. 2. Knowledge of Child Development Center (CDC) policies and procedures pertaining to registration information. 3. Knowledge of applicable regulations and procedures as outlined in AFR215-27 as they pertain to child illness. 4. Skill and knowledge to operate, or learn to operate a cash register and proper cash handling. 5. Ability to monitor enrollment, keeping accurate records according to AFI 34-144. PART-TIME OR UNPAID
Experience:
Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
